I Am A Horrible Blogger.....I Know..

It has come to my attention that I suck at keeping a blog updated, I apologize to anyone who actually looks at this thing. I have been without internet and busy working, that's my excuse. Here in Oklahoma we have had a devil of a winter, it's been very cold and the snow keeps coming. I had the wonderful experience of photographing the weather and it's affect on the things outside. I also got my best friend and her brother to help me out and play in it. All of this helped me to get some great "Winter Wonderland" photos. There will be more to come and I'm looking forward to spring. In my photos I hoped to bring out the obvious cold weather, and I tried to do an editorial style. My models helped a great deal. I never take full credit for my photos, the people & objects in them help bring out the best. Well enjoy and give me some feedback. Stay warm.

Missing Florida Already...

Well, I'm back from a wonderful trip to Clearwater, Florida. I was welcomed home by thirty degree weather and snow, but I'm grateful I was able to get away for awhile. I had so much fun and the weather was beautiful. I have devoted myself to this photography project, so as promised I came back with some pictures. My friend took me to the beach on a clear, windy, sunny day and it was the perfect scene for photo taking. The birds were agreeable to letting me take some shots of them. Then I was walking along and spotted surfers, about three, and started to photograph them. It's amazing to me that I can capture a picture without any cooperation from the objects I photograph. I had no control of the weather, the ocean, or the surfers and yet some of my photos come across as though I set it all up. I'll have a korny moment here and say that things can be in their most beautiful state when they are left alone and natural. I can't take all the credit, nature is beautiful itself, and I had a new friend show me the proper way to use the settings on my camera, so now the quality looks ten times better. In my photos I wanted you to see the beach the way that I was seeing it that day....relaxed and effortless.

Hello All 3 Followers,

I hope everyone had a good day today. It was my last day at my job and the girls got me a cake, showing they'd miss me...it was kind. I'll be traveling to Florida next week over Christmas. I plan on doing my 2nd photography shoot there, where I can get great ocean shots. The pictures above that I posted are of my best friend and then my dog Bo. My friend was showing off her cute hat and the make-up that my mom did for her. It was a cold breezy day and my theme was winter editorial. Something you would see in Vogue or Glamour. She was a fabulous model and I'll be using her more in the future. My dog Bo is so easy and fun to photograph, he has such personality in his eyes. He was laying on my mom's bed and I had to capture his lazy self. The photo looks like it belongs on a post card. I will be adding more pictures of my Cold Day Photo Shoot. Thanks for reading and following.

When I Grow Up.....

Even in my early years I knew what I wanted to be. My parents have always encouraged me to do what I'm good at, which happens to be photography. Being behind a camera, setting up the perfect shot or just letting it happen, it gives me a feeling I can't describe. I love making people laugh and smile, bringing personality into my pictures makes all the difference. It's so easy to get into the robot mode (as I call it) of taking pictures. Pose, Smile, and Click. That's not my style, I create what I want to capture. When doing people shots I want them to be as natural as possible, like I'm not even there. However, if I am showing of a certain style or make-up then posing works for me.

I'm nineteen amd figuring out my life. I have wanted to be a photographer since I was eight. The town I live in isn't flourishing with photography jobs, so I have decided to do my own project, give myself some practice. I want to capture different things each week, telling a different story or expressing a different theme. I hope you follow me and watch my creations, liking what you see. I am an amateur so go easy on me ;)
